I trust you are well and that you enjoyed the warm summer we had. With summer fading and fall appearing closer than we may wish, we, the Durham Philharmonic Choir, still find ourselves in a holding pattern as we await directions from the powers that be on when we can resume choral activities in a somewhat normal fashion. Of course, our season was halted in March just prior to our scheduled Mozart Requiem concert. Many groups like ours are obviously in a similar situation.
The choir executive and I are in touch with our singing members – many of whom are eager to resume as soon as we can. Meanwhile, we patiently wait – looking over music scores, listening to YouTube presentations of some of our choral repertoire, practicing piano or other favorite instruments, etc.
We thank you for your support of our choir in the past and hope you will join us when we take the stage once again. We will do our best to keep you up to date with any developments going forward.
In the meantime, and on behalf of the choir, I wish you and yours good health and peace!
